Kaizer Chiefs announce Tashreeq Morris as new january signing

Kaizer Chiefs have officially unveiled Tashreeq Morris as one of their key acquisitions during the January transfer window.

After a thorough evaluation by Coach Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team, Morris has been identified as the ideal addition to strengthen the team’s attacking options.

The former SuperSport United forward has inked a two-and-a-half-year deal, which will see him don the famous Gold and Black jersey until 30 June 2027. This transfer was finalised as part of a strategic swap deal, with striker Christian Saile heading to SuperSport United.

Hailing from Cape Town, Morris brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for Ajax Cape Town, Cape Town City, Sekhukhune United, and most recently, SuperSport United. After successfully completing his medical tests, Morris is expected to join Chiefs’ training sessions next week.

Welcoming the new signing, Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. shared his thoughts: “We are delighted to welcome Tashreeq to the Amakhosi family. He is an experienced and talented striker who came highly recommended by coach Nabi and his technical team.

“We’re confident that his skills and dedication will make a significant impact on the field. We wish him great success as he begins his journey with us in the Gold & Black.”

Chiefs fans will be eager to see what Morris brings to the team as they push for success in the second half of the season.
